Rathbun Lake Water Quality Protection: The Rathbun Land and Water Alliance, the Alliance's partner organizations at the local, state, and federal levels, and landowners in the watershed are working together on projects and activities to protect and improve water quality in Rathbun Lake and the lake's tributaries. These efforts include the demonstration of alternative best management practices, restoration and enhancement of wetlands, public information and education activities, and the use of geographic information system technologies to identify priority land in the watershed for the accelerated application of practices that will reduce the delivery of sediment, nutrients, and pesticides to Rathbun Lake.
